The current site of the Prince of Wales Theatre is the place for the theater in January 1884, when it was called the Prince Theatre. In 1886, the theater changed its name to Prince of Wales Theatre, later King Edward VII died. The original theater was designed by CJ Phipps and commissioned by the actor Bruce Edgar. original structure was demolished in 1937, however, inadequate sitting space. The new building, designed by Robert Cromie reopened October 27, 1937.

The Prince of Wales Theatre is now managed by Delfont Mackintosh, a theater owned by Sir Cameron Mackintosh. According to Mackintosh, the theater was closed and renovated by the architects RHWL. Once again, the capacity of the meeting has increased. Prince Charles has opened the theater June 10, 2004.

The theater offers many amenities, such as LED lighting, infrared sound amplification, an elevator, a dance floor, two bars and a license – The American Bar and Delfont Room, which can only be achieved through a link . Drinks can be called in and ordered in advance for your convenience.

The theater is located in the West End of London near Piccadilly Circus in the city of Westminster. The best way to meet the Prince of Wales Theatre on the tube is to use Piccadilly or Leicester Square underground stations. The nearest station is carbonization of the Cross.

The Prince of Wales Theatre has had its share of brilliant displays in recent years, including the Copacabana, Funny Girl, and West Side Story. It is the latest sensation ABBA musical Mamma Mia. Written by Catherine Johnson, Mamma Mia opened at the Prince Edward Theatre on April 6, 1999. The musical transferred to The Prince of Wales Theatre, June 9, 2004 and remained the longest in the history of musical theater.

Mamma Mia takes place on a Greek island, and focuses on Sophie, who is about to marry, but is determined to find her father so that you can walk down the aisle. Sophie sees her mother daily to find the names of three men believed to be his father. Without leaving his mother knows it, Sophie invites the three possible candidates to her wedding. Mamma Mia led the crowd wild since its premiere in London March 23, 1999. Mamma Mia in London can be booked online, by phone, or purchased at the theater.
